General Description:
Feldesman Leifer LLP (“Feldesman”) is a boutique law firm with offices in Washington, DC and Sacramento, CA. We are seeking a talented associate with three or more years of relevant experience and a strong understanding of the health care delivery system. The ideal candidate will have an understanding of publicly-funded health and human service programs (e.g., Medicare, Medicaid, HHS-administered grant programs) and experience with federal health care statutes, regulations, and policies.

Responsibilities:
- Draft, review, and negotiate health care-related agreements, (e.g., professional services, affiliation, vendor, software licensing, data sharing, telehealth, business associate agreements).
- Advise clients on health care regulatory compliance issues, including reimbursement under Medicare and Medicaid, fraud and abuse laws, and HIPAA/confidentiality.
- Conduct legal research, draft legal documents, and communicate with clients.
- Stay current on changes on health care regulations and advise clients on regulatory changes.
- Draft client alerts, blogs, and other publications to inform and engage clients on legal developments and trends.
- Collaborate with partners, senior associates, and support staff to ensure the highest level of client service and satisfaction.
Requirements:
- 3 - 8 years of health care experience.
- Excellent academic credentials and references.
- Strong legal writing and communication skills.
- District of Columbia or Pennsylvania bar membership or the ability to waive into the bar is required.
